Since 1987 Allette Systems has provided publishing system design and integration to a diverse range of clients who need to create, manage and disseminate information. During that time we have assisted some of the largest publishers in the Asia Pacific region, the USA and Europe to realise their most ambitious technical objectives through data conversion, software development and specialist training services.
It is not only about technology
To say that technology is making a dramatic difference to the way that people approach publishing is to state the obvious. However while technology becomes more common and less expensive, skills and experience are becoming more scarce. National ICT Australia (NICTA) is Australia's pre-eminent Information and Communications Technology (ICT) centre of excellence. For several years Allette Systems has collaborated with NICTA and the University of NSW on software quality and development methdologies. The results of this collaboration have been published in numerous journals and at many international conferences.
There is plenty more to do!
Over the past five years, Allette Systems has actively fostered the development of innovative and progressive tools for the publishing industry. For further information about our investments, please visit the following sites:
Weborganic Pty Ltd has developed a unique server-based application for managing documents lifecycles, with the software now installed at several major industrial and government organisations.
Topologi Pty Ltd led by acknowledged XML authority Rick Jelliffe and his team, is working on an analysis and reporting application which will change the way that people process XML and SGML-based documents.
Our office is at Level 2, 73 Union St, Pyrmont, however for reasons only known to the zoning department at Sydney's Town Hall, our building is not exactly where the address suggests it should be. For this reason it is easier to find our office by looking for the landmarks around it. We are on a corner directly opposite the Harbourside Monorail station in Sydney's Darling Harbour and diagonally across from the National Maritime Museum. The famous Pyrmont Bridge Hotel on the corner of Murray St and Pyrmont Bridge Rd is across the street from us and there is a 7-11 on the ground floor of our building. If you find any of these buildings you will quickly find our office.
